The Kirk Douglas Theatre may be available for rentals at different times during the year depending on the production schedule. For rental inquiries, please email us.

Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with the terms and conditions herein. Ticket holders expressly assume all liability for risk and danger incidental to the ticketed event.

Season Ticket Members get exclusive access to exchange tickets online up to 24 hours before their showtime for free by visiting the My Account page on our website. As a Season Subscriber, if you exchange to a lower priced ticket, you'll receive a credit that can be used for additional tickets to the same production only and that will expire at the conclusion of this production if not used. Tickets exchanged into an upgraded location or higher priced date/time may increase the price of the new ticket. 

We now offer same-day exchanges for a per-ticket fee up to three hours before showtime. Same-day exchanges are not available online and must be made over the phone at 213.972.4444 or in person at the box office.

Credit card fraud is a large and growing challenge for live event venues today, and Center Theatre Group, as a not-for-profit organization, does everything in its power to curb fraudulent credit card use, as it harms both our venue and our patrons. Given the situation, CTG has implemented various internal fraudulent activity monitoring systems and protections in order to minimize fraudulent transactions (including those performed by bots) while maintaining a positive experience for legitimate ticket purchasers. Although rare, and not our intention, some legitimate purchasers may be affected by these fraud prevention measures. Should this happen to you, please contact our Audience Services at 213.628.2772 to complete your purchase through verified channels.

Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes and cologne. Many people are allergic to heavy scents. 

To minimize disruption, patrons not seated when the performance begins will be asked to wait in the lobby until an appropriate seating break. Latecomers may also be given alternate seats until intermission. 

If your tickets are lost or stolen, please contact Audience Services at 213.628.2772 to arrange for replacements.

Flash photography can be dangerous to performers and is very distracting to audiences. Photography and any other type of recording device are unlawful, unless authorized by Center Theatre Group. Your use of a ticket constitutes acknowledgment of willingness to appear in authorized photographs and video in public areas of The Music Center and the Kirk Douglas Theatre and releases Center Theatre Group, The Music Center, and all others from liability resulting from the use of such photographs. 

Our in-house and award-winning Audience Services staff provides you with the highest level of customer service. We do not allocate tickets or authorize any non-Center Theatre Group brokers or agents to sell our tickets, except as noted below.

In California, anyone can purchase and resell legitimate tickets. BUYER BEWARE: tickets offered by resellers may have substantial service fees, often more than 300% of face value.

Resellers and their agents purchase tickets at regular prices, just like the general public, and resell them on third party websites. In some cases, resellers actually sell speculative tickets that they have not yet purchased. We cannot control the fees or price they may charge for these tickets. If you purchase tickets from anyone other than Center Theatre Group, please check the seller’s credibility and examine tickets carefully for authenticity. Center Theatre Group’s excellent customer service—including the ability to exchange ticket dates—is only available for purchases made through Center Theatre Group’s direct sales channels.

Duplicate, counterfeit, or otherwise altered tickets will not be honored for admission to any performance. Call us at 213.628.2772 with any questions or concerns.

We may allocate unsold inventory to authorized online partners such as TodayTix, and utilize their platforms for Rush, Lottery, and other accessibility initiatives. Their service fees are in line with our sales standards for customer care.

Please know Center Theatre Group’s website offers an array of resources, including videos and background information about all our shows. Our online ticketing service is one of the best in the business with seat maps that allow you to see and select from all available seats and prices.

Children under age six are not admitted, unless the production is advertised for younger audiences. Regardless of age, everyone must have a ticket and must be able to sit in their own seat. Babes in arms are not admitted.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Center Theatre Group Affiliates, the Ahmanson Theatre has a limited number of booster seats available on a first come, first served basis.
